What Is Nursing?

BSCTC offers a two-year nursing program. Completion of the Modular Program allows students to become eliagble to test NCLEX RN which allows students to have a career as a registered nurse.

The Nursing Program is offered on the Prestonsburg Campus and Pikeville of Big Sandy. Clinical learning experiences are held in health care delivery facilities throughout the region including but not limited to Pike, Floyd, Johnson, and Magoffin counties. Transportation to the community agencies is the responsibility of each student.

What are my career options?

After successful completion of the second year students will receive the Associate in Applied Science Degree in Nursing, qualifying them to apply for licenser as a Registered Nurse.
