Graduation Information
Hello Students,
It’s almost time to celebrate your hard work! If you plan to graduate this year, please review the information below carefully. These steps will help you stay on track and prepare for commencement.
Step 1: Meet with your advisor
You must meet with your academic advisor for a graduation check to ensure all degree requirements are complete.
Step 2: Apply to graduate
You may apply to graduate online or in person at:

Prestonsburg Campus — Student Center, Room 100
Graduation Application Deadlines
- Spring 2026: April 1, 2026
- Summer 2026: July 1, 2026
- Fall 2026: November 1, 2026
Commencement Ceremony
Big Sandy Community & Technical College holds one commencement ceremony each year in May.
Students who completed coursework in Fall 2025, Summer 2025, or will complete coursework in Spring 2026 are welcome and encouraged to participate!
To participate, you must:

- Order your cap & gown
