Graduation Application & Commencement Ceremony Information
We are always eager to celebrate student success! If you plan to graduate this year, please review the information below carefully. These steps will help you stay on track and prepare for applying for graduation as well as offer insight in participating in the commencement ceremony.

Step 1: Meet with your advisor
You must meet with your academic advisor for a graduation check to ensure all degree requirements are complete.
Step 2: Apply to graduate
You may apply to graduate online or in person at:
Office of the Registrar
Prestonsburg Campus — Student Center, Room 100
Graduation Application Deadlines
- April 1, 2027
Commencement Ceremony
Big Sandy Community & Technical College holds one commencement ceremony each year in May.
Students who completed coursework in Summer 2026, Fall 2026, or will complete coursework in Spring 2027 are welcome and encouraged to participate!
To participate, you must:
- Apply for Graduation
- Register to walk in the Commencement Ceremony
- Order your cap & gown. Official BSCTC graduation regalia may be ordered through Herff Jones.
