Student Responsibilites

BSCTC is not obligated to provide accommodations unless officially requested by students who meet the legal definition. Students must self-identify themselves as having a disability, produce proper documentation and make an official request to the Office of Accessibility Services to be considered eligible for accommodations at BSCTC.

Student Responsibilities

  • Schedule a confidential meeting to review all documentation with AS in a timely manner
  • Meet privately with your instructors to discuss your needs
  • Accommodations are not retroactive. Your accommodations begin when you meet with AS and create a plan for success.
  • Schedule your testing at least 3 days in advance. Arrive on time, bring a picture ID, leave your cell phone with the proctor and be aware and considerate of others testing.
  • Communication is critical to your success. Talk with AS and your instructors when you are absent or when your situation changes.
  • Check your emails daily.
