Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) is pleased to announce a partnership with Paintsville Independent School District to train high school students to become certified nurse aides (CNA) in eastern Kentucky.

Dr. Brian Van Brunt, a nationally recognized expert on systems-level solutions to safer campuses, presented a training at Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) on August 2-3. His presentation was attended by BSCTC faculty and staff and several UPIKE representatives.

As you may be aware, the Mayo Campus was put on lockdown this afternoon for a brief period of time. This was due to a situation in the community and did not occur on our Mayo Campus. The campus was put on lockdown out of an abundance of caution. The safety and security of our faculty, students and staff is of utmost importance to me.
