BSCTC OFFERS IT TRAININGS ONLINE THROUGH ED2GO PROGRAM
Big Sandy Community and Technical College is offering a variety of information technology
courses virtually through its Ed2Go program.
Operated through the colleges Workforce Solutions area, the program is designed to
offer interactive courses that are affordable, fun, convenient and catered towards
students.
With the broadband expansion that is set to take place in our area, people will have
the opportunity to compete for information technologies in the global economy, said
Kelli Hall, director of Workforce Solutions and the Kentucky Coal Academy at BSCTC.
Those who possess the appropriate skills in information technology can not only compete
for jobs with local companies, but they can also seek employment remotely.
The Ed2Go program will be offering classes in Introduction to Java Programming, CompTIA
Security+ Certification Prep 1 and 2, Wireless Networking, Advanced CompTIA A+ Certification
Prep and Introduction to ASP.NET.
ED2Go offers hundreds of courses in the areas of accounting and finance, business,
college readiness, computer applications, design and composition, health care and
medical, language and arts, law and legal, personal development, teaching and education,
technology and writing and publishing.
Instructors lead each course through an interactive, online platform. Most courses
are completed in six weeks.
