WatsonTwo Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) faculty members have been selected to the Master Teacher Seminar program.

Dr. Fallon Watson, instructor of communications, and Engineering Technology Assistant Professor Charles Vanhoose attended an intensive three-day seminar on April 15-17 at Natural Bridge State Park.

I am excited, and of course, very honored to represent BSCTC at the Master Teachers Seminar, said Dr. Watson. It was great learning from some of the best faculty in the KCTCS system.

Vanhoose said the opportunity to network with faculty from across the state was valuable.

We were able to learn about best practices that will help us better engage our students, he said. At the end of the day, it is about how we teach and relate with our students.

VanhooseThe Master Teach Seminar brings together experienced faculty from all 16 Kentucky Community and Technical College institutions. It addresses topics such as: increasing student success, awareness of diversity issues and enhancing global awareness.
