Saads topics on the BSCTC Speakers Bureau website are:
Kids Against Bullying: Bullying involves repeated acts of physical, emotional, or social behavior that are intentional, controlling, and hurtful. This presentation will address what bullying is, why stop bullying, how to detect if your child is being bullied, identifying warning signs if your child is a bully, and establishing a bullying prevention program. This workshop is intended for elementary, middle, and high school students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
Verbal Defense: How to Prevent and De-escalate Conflict at Work, at Home, and in Life: Verbal Defense is a philosophy that can show you how to be better prepared in every verbal encounter; how to listen and speak more effectively; how to engage people through empathy (the most powerful word in the English language); how to avoid the most common conversational disasters; and how, instead, to have proven strategies that will allow you to successfully communicate your point of view and take the upper hand in most disputes.
Self-Defense for Women: Self-defense is a set of awareness, assertiveness, verbal confrontation skills, safety strategies, and physical techniques that enable someone to successfully prevent, escape, resist and survive violent assaults. This workshop provides the psychological awareness, verbal skills, and physical training that is needed when one is found in harm's way.
The BSCTC Speakers Bureau is a searchable database that lists presentations by faculty and staff on a wide variety of topics.
