HALL SELECTED TO ATTEND NATIONAL GIRLS COLLABORATIVE CONFERENCE
Terri Hall, an education specialist at the East Kentucky Science Center and Planetarium,
has been selected to attend the National Girls Collaborative conference in Kansas
City, Mo. on April 7-10.
As a board member of the Kentucky Girls Collaborative organization, Hall will join
leaders in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education from across
the nation to learn about enhancements in learning, identification of equipment and
software to meet needs for the classroom and summer camps.
I am very proud to represent the East Kentucky Science Center and Planetarium at this
conference, and I am looking forward to learning new and innovative ways to grow STEM
education at our facility, said Hall. Our mission at the Science Center is to serve
our region and provide opportunities for people to engage in STEM education. This
conference will allow me the opportunity to network and learn best practices from
all across the country.
The Kentucky Girls Collaborative and National Girls Collaborative have been supporters
of the EKSC through the awarding of several mini-grants that have paid for promotion
and workshops.
