EKSC TO HOST CHRISTMAS EVENT DECEMBER 5

The East Kentucky Science Center and Planetarium (EKSC) will hold a Christmas event at 7 p.m., Friday, December 5, featuring the Star of Bethlehem and Laser Holidays.

Located on the Prestonsburg campus of Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC), the EKSC will open the doors of its state-of-the-art planetarium for two special shows.

The Star of Bethlehem allows guests to travel back in time with the help of the GOTO Chronos Star Projector and Spitz SciDome full-dome projector to look at the sky exactly as it was 2,000 years ago. This is an original EKSC production produced by the Mountain Arts Center.

Laser Holidays features favorite holiday tunes such as Sleigh Ride, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Jingle Bell Rock, and more.

Admission is $5. For more information, call (606) 889-8260.
