DR. CHRIS DANIEL NAMED MAYO CAMPUS COORDINATOR

Dr. Chris Daniel has been named coordinator of the Mayo campus at Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC). Dr. Daniel will remain dean of institutional effectiveness and research.

I am excited about this opportunity and look forward to integrating myself into the campus and community, he said. The Mayo campus has a rich history of serving the community with relevant programs that lead to employment.

Dr. Devin Stephenson, president of BSCTC, said Dr. Daniel brings a wealth of knowledge to his position on the Mayo campus.

Dr. Daniel has an unwavering commitment to student success, said Dr. Stephenson. As a former faculty member, he understands the challenges facing curriculum alignment and program success.

It is a homecoming for Dr. Daniel, who started his career at BSCTC as a surveying and mapping instructor on the Mayo campus. He served as associate dean of professional development and service learning from 2006-2012 and associate dean of learning support services since from 2012 to 2014.

Dr. Daniel earned his undergraduate and masters degree from Morehead State University. He earned his doctorate in higher education from Liberty University in 2013.
