DANIEL NAMED DEAN OF INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS AND RESEARCH

Dr. Chris DanielsDr. Chris Daniel has been named dean of institutional effectiveness and research at Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC).

Dr. Daniel, 51, of River, has worked at BSCTC since 1995. A former instructor of surveying and mapping, Dr. Daniel served as associate dean of professional development and service learning from 2006-2012 and associate dean of learning support services since 2012.

Im excited about moving into institutional effectiveness and research and enhancing our innovation in regards to data collection and overall effectiveness, said Dr. Daniel.

Dr. Nancy B. Johnson, provost at BSCTC, said institutional effectiveness and research is critical to the college to assist in maintaining accreditation and developing a strategic plan for the institution.

Dr. Daniel understands the vital importance of delivering data and the role it plays in assessing our effectiveness, said Dr. Johnson. I look forward to working with him to achieve the strategic goals we have set as an institution.

Dr. Daniel earned his undergraduate and masters degree from Morehead State University. He earned his doctorate in higher education from Liberty University in 2013.
