BSCTC WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS TO HOLD 10-HOUR OSHA CLASS

Big Sandy Community and Technical Colleges (BSCTC) Workforce Solutions department will offer a 10-hour OSHA certification course for general industry on its Pikeville campus on March 5-6.

The programs provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement and prevention of safety and health hazards in the workplace. Participants will also gain knowledge of workers rights, employer responsibilities and how to file a complaint.

This training helps ensure that workers are more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights, said Kelli Hall, director of Workforce Solutions at BSCTC. This leads to a more adequately trained and productive workforce.
