BSCTC WELCOMES LISA CRUM KIRK AS BOARD MEMBER

Shown are Karen Sellers, board chair, and BSCTC President Dr. Devin Stephenson. An administrator with 30 years of experience in public education has been named to the board of directors at Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC).

Lisa Crum Kirk, of Inez, is an Educational Recovery Leader with the Kentucky Department of Education. She has served in a variety of positions in public education, including teacher, curriculum coach, principal, assessment coordinator and chief academic officer.

We are thrilled to have a person of Ms. Kirks caliber on our board of directors, said BSCTC President Dr. Devin Stephenson. She understands the vital importance of education to our region and its role in workforce, community and economic development.

Kirk, who received her undergraduate and two graduate degrees from Morehead State University, attended Prestonsburg Community College (now BSCTC) in 1982.

I can think of no better way to give back to our region than by giving my time to our local college that still empowers our youth today, said Kirk.
