BSCTC TO HOST CONCERT IN COMMEMORATION OF MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY

WitnessThe Office of Cultural Diversity at Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) will host a special concert featuring the mens gospel group Witness at 12:25 p.m., Thursday, January 15, in the Gearheart Auditorium on the Prestonsburg campus.

The event is part of activities planned by the Office of Cultural Diversity to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. day.

Witness, based out of Kingsport, Tenn., features five members: Rev. William Hampton, Minister Gordon Williams, Deacon George Smith, Steven Williams and William Tarter.

Tina Terry, director of Cultural Diversity, said the concert is a time to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. and to promote the virtues of unity.
