BSCTC President named to Tennessee Valley Corridor Community College Consortium Council of Presidents
Dr. Devin Stephenson, president of Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) has been named to the Tennessee Valley Corridor Community College Consortium Council of Presidents.As one of only six members of the Council, Dr. Stephenson is representing the Kentucky Community and Technical College System.
We represent the first choice in higher education in eastern Kentucky and the Kentucky Community and Technical College System has earned national attention for its work in streamlining services for students and working with business and industry, said Dr. Stephenson. Im honored to represent our system and I am looking forward to sharing and learning best practices to enhance community, workforce and economic development across our region.
Other representatives of the Tennessee Valley Corridor Community College Consortium Council of Presidents are: Dr. Chris Whaley (chair), president of Roane State Community College; Dr. Anthony Wise, president of Pellissippi State Community College; Dr. Angeline Godwin, Patrick Henry Community College; Dr. Barbara Parker, president of Haywood Community College; and Dr. Vicki Karolewics, president of Wallace State Community College.
The Council will have its first meeting on October 18 at the University of Tennessee.
