    BSCTC PRESIDENT NAMED TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR SOUTHEAST KENTUCKY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Dr. Devin Stephenson, president of Big Sandy Community and Technical College, has been named to the board of directors for the Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.

    The Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce provides a unified voice for economic and community development across our region, said Dr. Stephenson. I feel that Big Sandy Community and Technical College must have a seat at the table and fully utilize our resources in economic development.

    Jacob Colley, president and CEO of the Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, said Dr. Stephensons innovative approach to higher education and economic development makes him a perfect fit to the chamber board.

    We feel that our region is uniquely positioned to capitalize on some great opportunities, said Colley. That requires an investment, a buy-in, from everyone in the region to come together with one voice and one vision for a better future.
