BSCTC, PASSPORT HEALTH PLAN TO HOST COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR ON FEBRUARY 17

Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) and Passport Health Plan will host a Health Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, February 17 in the Student Center on the Prestonsburg campus.

Representatives from Passport Health Plan, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Medicaid, Big Sandy Health Care, Highlands Regional Medical Center, Floyd County Health Department, Aetna, Humana Care Source, KYNECT and Shaping our Appalachian Region (SOAR) will be in attendance.

Participants can take advantage of free cholesterol, A1c and oral screenings, as well as blood pressure checks, flu shots, insurance assistance and information on diabetes management.

Health and wellness is vital to our success as a region, said Kelly Adam, professor and coordinator of the BSCTC Wellness Center. We are very thankful to our community partners who work on the frontlines of health and wellness each day.
