BSCTC PARTICIPATES IN KENTUCKY APPLE FESTIVAL

Big Sandy Community and Technical College employees and students participated in the Kentucky Apple Festival parade on Saturday, October 3. Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) participated in the 53rd Kentucky Apple Festival on October 1-3.

The weather was cold, but the hospitality was warm, said Dr. Devin Stephenson, president of BSCTC. Its always fun to go out into the communities we serve, meet people and share the vision of our institution.

It was also fun to take in some of the famous food at the festival.

We loved the stack cakes, pies, Tiger Ears and all of the incredible food, said Dr. Stephenson. It was even better that we were able to support many great organizations that serve our communities.

The college had an informational booth at the festival and participated in the parade on Saturday.

Dr. Stephenson and his wife, Judy, walked alongside the colleges float and handed out candy and stickers to children.

I look forward to seeing those children take advantage of the opportunities at Big Sandy, he said. Its our job to make sure they have every opportunity to be successful.

The college will have a display booth at the Jenny Wiley Festival this weekend in Prestonsburg. They will also participate in the parade.
