BSCTC PARTICIPATES IN JENNY WILEY FESTIVAL

Clayton Case, director of fine arts at Big Sandy Community and Technical College, tosses candy to the crowd during the Jenny Wiley Festival parade on Saturday, October 13. He is shown with his wife, Taylor, and BSCTC student Daniel Meade.

Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) participated in the Jenny Wiley Festival on October 9-10 in Prestonsburg.

The college had an informational booth set up both days and participated in the parade.

Its always fun to interact with the people in the communities we serve, said Dr. Devin Stephenson, president of BSCTC. As the regions first choice in higher education, we want to impact our region one student and one opportunity at a time.

The Big Sandy Singers and Band helped construct the float for the parade. Members Jerica Grim and Rebecca Risner performed on the parade float.

We are really making a huge impact on the community, said Grim, who also serves as the Student Government Association president at BSCTC. Big things are happening at Big Sandy.

The college will participate in the Red, White and Blue Festival in Martin this weekend.
