BSCTC EMPLOYEE NAMED TO JOHNSON CENTRAL HALL OF FAME

A Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) employee was named to the Johnson Central High School Hall of Fame in January.

Casey Music, an information technology specialist on the Mayo campus of BSCTC, was one of 10 members inducted into the elite group at halftime of the January 18 game between Johnson Central and Lawrence County.

The Hall of Fame consists of many people who have made a great contribution to the school system and many whom also continued to serve after their tenure at Johnson Central was complete, said Music, who has worked at BSCTC for more than six years. Members of the group include military veterans, teachers, administrators, coaches, doctors, lawyers, professional athletes, musicians and many others. Its an honor that the Hall of Fame association to consider my contribution worthy of this elite group.

Music is a 2001 graduate of Johnson Central High School. He played quarterback on the football team and led the school to its first-ever undefeated season. A three-year starter, he eclipsed 1,000 yards twice (1999 and 2000) and led his team to the schools first-ever district title in 2000. He was also named honorable mention to the Courier-Journal All-State team.

I would like to thank the Johnson County School System for this great honor, said Music.
