BSCTC Closing

BSCTC & the Morehead Extended Campus location at Prestonsburg will be closed from Feb 19th to Feb 21st due to inclement weather.

    BSCTC ACADEMIC TEAM EARNS SECOND PLACE IN KENTUCKY COLLEGIATE QUICK RECALL LEAGUE

    2014 Academic Team

    The Big Sandy Community and Technical College Academic Team earned a third-place finish in its final meet of the season at Ohio University Southern on April 5.

    The team was second overall in the final standings in the Kentucky Collegiate Quick Recall League. BSCTC Coach Jane Pixley was selected as Coach of the Year along with Matt Church of the University of Louisville. Joshua Thacker, who also coaches the BSCTC team, was selected as treasurer for the Kentucky Collegiate Quick Recall League.

    Zane Mahue, a member of the BSCTC team, was named to the All-League team. Other BSCTC team members include: Miranda Webb, Evan Justice, Asim Riaz, Jacob Hatfield and Gabriel Vance.

    The highlight of the teams season came in November when the team earned first place in a tournament held at the University of Pikeville.
