BIG SANDY SINGERS AND BAND TO HOST CHRISTMAS CONCERTS IN PRESTONSBURG, PAINTSVILLE
The Big Sandy Singers and Band have announced two upcoming Christmas concerts.
The group, comprised of Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) students,
will take the stage at the Gearheart Auditorium on the colleges Prestonsburg campus
on Thursday, December 18, and at the Country Music Highway Museum in Paintsville on
Friday, December 19. Each show will begin at 7 p.m.
Admission is $5 and tickets will be sold at the door. Proceeds from the December 17
show will go to the colleges fine arts department, while proceeds from the December
18 show will benefit Whiskers and Wags, a group raising funds to build an animal shelter
in Johnson County.
We are looking forward to singing some holiday classics and spreading some holiday
cheer across the region, said Clayton Case, director of Fine Arts at BSCTC. Our singers
and band represent the wealth of vocal and musical talent that lies within our mountains.
