BIG SANDY IDOL VISITS BELFRY, CROWNS WINNERS
Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) held its Big Sandy Idol competition at Belfry High School on Friday, September 27.Fourteen students participated for the coveted spots for the annual Big Sandy Idol regional competition set for March at the Mountain Arts Center. Payton Trout was crowned the overall winner, and Cydney McCoy was the runner-up.
We had a tremendous showing at Belfry High School, said Clayton Case, Director of Fine Arts at BSCTC. The talent of Eastern Kentucky continues to amaze us when we make stops at schools across our service area.
The event also featured a small concert by the Big Sandy Singers, an elite group comprised of BSCTC students.
Big Sandy Idol will roll into Prestonsburg High School on Friday, October 11.
Big Sandy Community and Technical College is celebrating milestone anniversaries on its Mayo Campus (75 years), Prestonsburg Community College (50 years) and Big Sandy Community and Technical College (10 years).
