Dr. Jill Keaton, Dale P. Parnell Faculty of Distinction Award

Big Sandy Community & Technical College (BSCTC) proudly announces Dr. Jill Keaton was awarded the Dale P. Parnell Faculty of Distinction by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). Dr. Keaton is the program coordinator of Big Sandy’s dental hygiene program. 

Named in honor of former AACC President and CEO Dale P. Parnell, this designation was established to recognize individuals making a difference in the classroom.

Recipients for the faculty distinction recognition demonstrate a passion for students and the classroom, and show a willingness to support students, inside and outside the classroom. They are inclined to participate in college committees; they go above and beyond what is required to ensure that students are successful in their academic endeavors.

Dr.Telly Sellars, Interim President/ CEO of Big Sandy Community & Technical College, stated, “Dr. Keaton is a true asset to our college and communities. She leads her students with great integrity and diligence, and we celebrate her recognition on this national level.”
