April Marks Community College Month: BSCTC Kicks off Going Pro Signing Day with Appalachain Tank
April is celebrated nationwide as Community College Month, highlighting these institutions' pivotal role in shaping local communities and fostering career readiness. Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) proudly inaugurates this month with its Going Pro Signing Day, honoring students and graduates embarking on professional careers.
In an exciting collaboration with Appalachian Tank, a prominent local manufacturer specializing in aluminum tanks, BSCTC proudly announces the signing of five new employees. These individuals, recent graduates from BSCTC's industrial Maintenance program, are poised to contribute their skills and expertise to Appalachian Tank's workforce.
Neil Green, General Manager of Appalachian Tank, expressed gratitude for the partnership
with BSCTC, stating, "We have worked with BSCTC from day one, and partnerships like
these are vital for a thriving business."
Dr. King, BSCTC Provost, emphasized the institution's commitment to meeting the evolving
needs of regional employers. "This collaboration exemplifies why we exist – to provide
skilled individuals who can readily contribute to our region's workforce," remarked
Dr. King.
Going Pro Signing Day signifies BSCTC's dedication to bridging the gap between education
and employment, empowering students to pursue rewarding career opportunities in their
communities.
