    BSCTC Presents Great Teacher Award

    Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) honors two teachers yearly with the Great Teacher Award. The student body votes on these awards that recognize two faculty members, one in general education and one in technical education, who go above and beyond to help their students learn and grow. "Both of the awardees this year have gone above and beyond for the benefit of the students," said BSCTC Provost Dr. Denise King.

    tina ouselyThe General Education Great Teacher Award was presented to Tina Ousley. Tina's unique contributions to co-curricular learning through the student Biology Club and her initiative in organizing several learning adventures this year set her apart. She also enhanced the student experience in the Campbell Science Building at BSCTC by creating a welcoming lounge area.

    The Technical Education Great Teacher award was given to Diana Pack, who coordinates the BSCTC Nest and supports student learning and achievement by co-advising Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
