BSCTC Celebrates Read Across America
Big Sandy Community and Technical College recently hosted an engaging Read Across
America event at its Pikeville campus. The event welcomed children from Model City
Daycare to the campus library, where they were treated to captivating stories. Robyn
Williams, BSCTC Assistant Professor and librarian at the college, shares, "This event
encourages community involvement and a lifelong love of reading for children." This
decade-long tradition has become a cornerstone in connecting generations through the
power of storytelling. Model City's visit brought smiles, laughter and highlighted
how reading plays a vital role in shaping our communities.
