BSCTC’s Adult Education Program THRIVEs in the Fiscal Year
Published on Sep 17, 2024
The THRIVE program, standing for Treatment Healing and Recovery with Integration of
Vocation and Education, represents a groundbreaking initiative within Frontier Behavioral
Health, emphasizing comprehensive support for individuals on their journey to recovery.
This partnership, which developed almost two years ago between Frontier Behavioral
Health and Kentucky Adult Education, includes opportunities for community partners
to contribute to the success of our participants. Central to THRIVE is its integration
of vocational and educational opportunities. To date, this partnership has contributed
to 20 GED graduates, 105 KESC, 96 Financial Literacy, 68 Digital Literacy, and 94
transitions to Post Secondary Training for the residents of the surrounding counties.
Education within THRIVE begins with foundational support through Kentucky Adult Education,
which offers GED preparation, Kentucky Essential Skills, Financial Literacy, Digital
Literacy, and Ready for Industry Certifications. These programs enable participants
to earn their high school equivalency diplomas, providing a crucial first step toward
broader educational and career opportunities. By equipping individuals with essential
academic credentials, THRIVE enhances their self-esteem and opens doors to further
educational pursuits. These components are crucial in empowering participants with
the skills and knowledge necessary for sustained rehabilitation and successful reintegration
into society.
