Remembering 9/11: Big Sandy Community and Technical College Hosts Ceremonies to Honor Heroes

people standing outside facing the american flagAs the nation marked the 22nd anniversary of the tragic events of September 11th, Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) hosted ceremonies to commemorate the lives lost and honor the heroes who responded with courage and selflessness. The events took place on each campus.

The ceremonies were a respectful tribute to the victims, first responders, and all those affected by the attacks

over two decades ago. Dr. Nancy Johnson, BSCTC Interim President, expressed, "As we mark the 22nd anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, we came together to remember and honor the lives lost, the heroes who responded, and the unity that emerged during adversity. These ceremonies provided a space for reflection, gratitude, and solidarity as we paid tribute to those affected by the events that unfolded on that fateful day."
