Published on Oct 23, 2023

Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) proudly announces a $1.5 million grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to fund allied health classroom improvement at the Pikeville Campus. This project represents a significant milestone in our commitment to addressing healthcare shortages in rural eastern Kentucky.

The project will revitalize and renovate 12,317 square feet of the Clayton Little Building on BSCTC's Pikeville Campus. This endeavor aims to create a modern, cutting-edge learning environment for our students.

BSCTC seeks to expand and strengthen three critical allied health pathways at the Pikeville Campus, which includes Nurse Aid training, Nursing, and EMT/Paramedic by September 2026.

BSCTC extends its gratitude to the Appalachian Regional Commission for generous support of this vital project, which will profoundly impact our region's healthcare education and workforce development.
