What is Surface Mine Training?

24 hours of instruction covering the subjects required by Part 48 of the Code of Federal regulations that will prepare participants, who have not worked in an underground coal mine, to begin working.

Subjects covered include Miners Rights, Roof and Rib Control, Transportation and Communication, Work Environment, Hazard Recognition, Electrical Hazards, Tasks, Dust and Noise, and First Aid
