The Big Sandy Singers for Christmas

The Big Sandy Singers and Band have announced two upcoming Christmas concerts.

The group, comprised of Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) students, will take the stage at the Gearheart Auditorium on the colleges Prestonsburg campus on Thursday, December 18, and at the Country Music Highway Museum in Paintsville on Friday, December 19. Each show will begin at 7 p.m.

Admission is $5 and tickets will be sold at the door. Proceeds from the December 17 show will go to the colleges fine arts department, while proceeds from the December 18 show will benefit Whiskers and Wags, a group raising funds to build an animal shelter in Johnson County.

We are looking forward to singing some holiday classics and spreading some holiday cheer across the region, said Clayton Case, director of Fine Arts at BSCTC. Our singers and band represent the wealth of vocal and musical talent that lies within our mountains.
