Balls presentation focused on the consideration of adult day care centers and their goals of enriching participants lives by building on their skills and strengths.
It is critical that family and caretakers of those who utilize adult day care centers understand that everyone is working towards the same goal a high quality of life for the patient, said Ball. My presentation was interactive and we established a meaningful dialogue that examined potential problem areas such as ethical issues.
The presentation ended with a game of Gerontology Jeopardy, which allowed participants to answer questions relating to the Geriatric Code of Ethics.
