COVID-19 Update from Dr. Zylka

Dear Students,

As your President, I want to tell you how proud I am of your determination and resilience to stay the course and finish the semester. Although these unprecedented times forced us to move our courses completely online, I have strong faith that this could be one of your most successful college semesters.

Our priority is to ensure the health and well-being of our student body while supporting your advancement toward graduation. To that end, please reach out to Student Services as you focus on your degree completion. Our staff and faculty members are here to help, so please communicate with us when you need support of any kind.

The BSCTC leadership team continues to closely monitor the growing impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. At this point, here are the decisions we have made:

We will finish the Spring semester online. Finals will be held online as well. The last day of instruction is May 2nd, and finals week is May 4-10.

  • Many of your courses have lab/clinical components. If those could not be moved to online, we will provide an opportunity for you to complete labs/clinicals as soon as the Governor authorizes us to do so.
  • If we are not permitted to continue your labs/clinicals before the end of the Spring term, we will provide that opportunity as soon as possible with no additional tuition charge.
  • Spring Commencement ceremonies have been postponed until further notice.
  • We will continue to provide student support services virtually until the college reopens on a regular schedule. Please email your advisor and/or call 606-886-3863 or 1-855-GO-BSCTC.
  • For questions or to register for summer and fall courses, please call us at 606-886-3863 or 1-855-GO-BSCTC.

The last couple of weeks have been tough for us all. We have all taken on this challenge and continue to find new ways to serve you and our community. Thank you for your commitment to continue your studies.

I ask you to stay put, stay focused, and finish strong.
