Respiratory Therapy Graduates Have 100% Pass Rate on National Boards, All Employed at Pikeville Medical Center

The graduating class of Big Sandy Community and Technical College’s respiratory therapy program earned a 100% pass rate on their national board exam and have all gained employment at Pikeville medical Center. Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) respiratory therapy program graduates earned a 100% pass rate on their national board examination and all are employed at Pikeville Medical Center. 

“I am extremely proud of our graduates,” said Melissa Skeens, respiratory therapy program coordinator at BSCTC. “Our program is student focused and results driven.” 

Recent graduates Kiersten Woods Shurtleff, Kendra Kidd, Justin Robinson, Kristen Hall and Indya Williamson are all employed at Pikeville Medical Center. 

“Respiratory therapy is a rewarding career, and there are jobs available for graduates,” said Skeens. “It is important as instructors that we teach but also provide services that help graduates find jobs.”
