Policies and Procedures

Each potential wellness member must complete the following:

  • Agreement of Release and Waiver of Liability
  • Physician's Clearance (if necessary)

Registration

  • Students - Big Sandy Community Technical College (BSCTC)/Morehead State University (MSU) students may gain admission to the Wellness Center by presenting a BSCTC/MSU ID validated for the current semester. All students of BSCTC/MSU who satisfactorily complete the application process may utilize the wellness center at no cost.
  • Employees - All employees of BSCTC/MSU who complete the application procedure may utilize the wellness center at no cost.
  • Spouse - Spouses of BSCTC employees who complete the application procedures may utilize the wellness center at no cost.
  • Children - Children of BSCTC employees who complete the application procedures may utilize the wellness center at no cost (includes dependent children 16 years of age and older) (eligible dependent living at home).
  • Donovan Scholars - All Senior Citizens (65 years and older) who participate in the Donovan Scholars Program at BSCTC and have completed the application procedure may utilize the wellness center at no cost.
  • Community - Individuals of the community who wish to participate in the BSCTC Wellness Program must complete the application procedures and pay a $15.00 per month fee.

Payment each month can be made at BSCTC's Business Office. A receipt of payment must be presented for validation of the wellness I.D.

Exercise Equipment

Exercise equipment should be used in a manner that is consistent with health and fitness improvement, participants' safety and the safety of others.

Injuries

Individuals participating in wellness activities must recognize that these activities involve a certain degree of risk. Participants voluntarily agree to assume the risk of injury as well as any medical expenses resulting from said injury.

Tobacco Policy

We are committed to the creation of a well environment. The BSCTC facilities are housed in smoke-free buildings. Chewing tobacco and alcohol usage are also not permitted.
