Wellness Center Programs, Rates, and Hours

BSCTC Wellness is about enjoying life – living to your fullest potential. Our purpose is to help you pursue a wellness lifestyle. One secret to lifelong happiness is having the competence and confidence to make informed decisions that affect your daily well-being. Self-responsibility and self-empowerment are means of increasing the quality and quantity of life. There is no better feeling than to know that you are doing something good for yourself.

Memberships may be purchased at the Business Office in the Johnson Building.

Children under 16 are not allowed in the weight room or on exercise equipment and must be accompanied by and participating with a/their parent or guardian.



Fitness

Indoors
The BSCTC Wellness Program offers its members a variety of resistance equipment including Nautilus, Paramount and free weights. Members also have access to cardiovascular equipment such as Life Fitness treadmills, Lifecycle exercise bikes, Life Fitness stairclimbers, and a Precor Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainer.

Aerobics

Aerobic Class Overview -- Schedule
--Body Shaping
Combines aerobics with weight training, providing an effective workout with fast results. The sculpting moves will help you define a shapelier figure. It sculpts muscles and burns calories all at once.

--Beginning Aerobics
This class includes low impact, basic movements that are designed to challenge your heart and lungs, improving your stamina and killing calories. The classes incorporate a 30-35 minute aerobic component which is suitable for people of all fitness abilities. The session kicks off with a 10-minute progressive warm-up and finishes with a 10-minute cool-down and stretch. Interesting, easing and varied routines will allow you to switch off the mind and work the body. This class is a must for anybody hoping to combat the ill-effects of stressful lifestyles and inactivity in the workplace.

--Intermediate Aerobics
This class included a mixture of high and low impact movements that are designed to challenge your heart and lungs, improving your stamina and killing calories. The classes incorporate a 30-35 minute aerobic component which is suitable for people of all fitness abilities. Smoking Cessation

The Personnel Cabinet, Department for Employee Insurance, is pleased to announce that the Kentucky Employees Health Plan now offers a Smoking Cessation Program as part of your health insurance benefits. This program is available to any employee and/or dependent over the age of 18 that is enrolled in the Kentucky Employees Health Plan. Employees who waive health insurance are not eligible to participate as the products are being covered through Express Scripts and the participant must be enrolled.
