The Writing Lab, The Math Lab, and The Study Skills and Learning Support Center are located in the Center for Enrichment Resources (Magoffin 217/219 on the Prestonsburg Campus, room N204 on the Pikeville Campus, and C200 on the Mayo Campus). The Early Intervention Specialist, professional writing instructors, a nd qualified peer tutors, are available to help with all levels and types of writing.

The Writing Lab is the place where students have access to professional writing instructors, as well as student tutors, who work with students at every stage of the writing process to improve organization, content, and mechanics.

Students may visit the Writing Lab to receive help with the writing process, research projects, essays, term papers or resumes and cover letters; however, tutors will not provide assistance on final exams. Students may receive assistance in the Writing Lab on a walk-in basis; however, the availability of assistance is contingent upon the availability of staff and tutors, so it is always a good idea to let us know when you plan to come in.
