Tutor Training
Tutor Training Program:
Beginning the spring semester 2007, the BSCTC Peer Tutoring Program will include a Tutor Training Program designed to meet the guidelines set forth by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). The Training Program consists of several in-person instructional sessions facilitated by BSCTC faculty and staff. The training provides tutors the opportunity to explore issues important to the practice of tutoring, and to obtain and refine the skills necessary to be effective in their roles as tutors.
The Peer Tutoring Program's Tutor Handbook will serve as a guide for the training sessions. All Peer Tutors must participate in all components of the Tutor Training Program in order to work as tutors in the CER.
