Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) and the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) provide information regarding student rights and responsibilities in the Code of Student Conduct accessible through both BSCTC and KCTCS websites [1] [2]. BSCTC students are also provided this information with course syllabi distributed at the beginning of all classes [3] [4].

Student rights and responsibilities regarding records, appeals, drug use, sexual harassment and grievance procedures [5] [6] are discussed during New Student Orientation within the presentations of Right to Know and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) [7] [8]. Procedures for handling informal and formal complaints can be located under the Current Students Section of the BSCTC webpage.[9].
