KCTCS Administrative Policies and Procedures, Section 2 Human Resources Related Policies [1] provide guidelines for the college procedure used in the appointment and employment of faculty and staff at Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC). These policies list and define procedures to be followed in the hiring of personnel at BSCTC. Sections 2.1 [2] and 2.6 [3] deal specifically with faculty appointment and promotion.

Employment opportunities can be accessed from the BSCTC webpage [4], from bulletin board postings and at the Office of Human Resources in the Johnson Administration Building, room 110 on the Prestonsburg campus.

BSCTC has a written procedure for filling faculty and staff vacancies [5]. All new employees are required to read and sign off [6] on the KCTCS HR Policy Manual [1] which specifically details the employment and appointment policies affecting them.

As evidence that BSCTC hiring practices are consistent with the written procedure, sample forms for a recent search are attached [7].
