3.2.7 The institution has a clearly defined and published organizational structure that delineates responsibility for the administration of policies.

Narrative:

Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) and the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) [1] clearly define and publish a hierarchy of reporting relationships within the institution. The organizational structure delineates the relationship between the KCTCS Board of Regents, the KCTCS President, the BSCTC Board of Directors, the BSCTC President, Chief Officers, Associate Deans, other administration, faculty and staff [2]. BSCTC Organization charts are located on BSCTC's website.

As stated in the KCTCS Board of Regents Policy 1.5 [8] and the KCTCS Administrative Policy 1.5 [9], the President of KCTCS and the President of BSCTC have full authority and responsibility over the administration of the academic, business and fiscal operations of KCTCS and BSCTC. Job Descriptions are evidence of the responsibility of the BSCTC President, the Provost, and the Vice Presidents [10]. The KCTCS Board of Regents ByLaws [11] and meeting minutes [12], and the BSCTC BOD By-Laws [13] and BOD meeting minutes [14] provide further evidence of the delineation of administrative responsibility.
