Welcome to Big Sandy Community and Technical College. Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) adopted the Principles of Accreditation: Foundations for Quality Enhancement (2007 Interim Edition) approved during SACS's annual meeting in December, 2006.

Our SACS Compliance Certification documents have been placed online for your convenience. You have also been provided with a CD which has links to the servers.

Standardization

This presentation has been entirely hand coded with the reviewer in mind using international standards set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium(W3C). This allows the reviewer the widest variety of choices for web browser for viewing the information. The official logos that denote this standardization are at the bottom of each page.

Viewing the Presentation

1.	It is assumed that the web-based electronic presentation will be viewed using a web browser connected to the internet.
2.	Place the CD which was provided for you in the CD-ROM drive of your computer.
3.	You will find three links to the BSCTC SACS Compliance Certification website included on the CD. You may click on any of those links. These materials will be co-hosted on three servers to ensure your access to all of the documents.
4.	You may choose to key in the URL into your browser instead of using the links. If that is the case the URL are: http://bgslocalweb.bigsandy.kctcs.edu/sacs http://www.bigsandy.kctcs.edu/sacs http://intranet.bigsandy.kctcs.edu/sacs.
5.	Clicking on a link or keying in the URL, you will enter the SACS Compliance Certification website home. Near the top of the page there is a navigational bar with four blue boxes SACS Home, The Institution and Instructions, Compliance Reports, and Document Directory. These will be your navigation tools inside the website. This navigational bar will be found on all areas of the SACS Compliance Certification website.

6.	The SACS Home page contains links to The Institution and Instructions, Compliance Reports and the Document Directory. You will also see “Jump To” links to the same areas linked in the navigational bar.

7.	Using either the navigational bar or the “Jump To” links, click on The Institution and Instructions. You will see two "Jump To" options: Institutional Information and Instructions for Navigation.

8.	Choose Institutional Information to view information about Big Sandy Community and Technical College.
9.	Choose Instructions for Navigation for step-by-step instructions for moving through the SACS Compliance Certification website.
10.	From the Navigational bar, choose Compliance Reports This link will take you to a menu page which lists all of the compliance reports on the SACS standards. They are listed and linked by standard number.

11.	Click on the standard you want to view. You will then see the compliance report for that standard.

12.	All documentation for that report will be listed and linked within the report. Clicking on those links will allow you to view the documentation presented.

13.	From within the compliance reports you will see a “section links menu” on the left which will allow you to easily move through the compliance reports without returning to the main menu each time. There are also links near the top and bottom of each report which allow you to easily move from section to section or report to report.

14.	Last but not least, Click on Document Directory to view a menu of SACS compliance reports. These are sorted by sections and contain "Jump To" links which you may use to navigate to the reports and documentation.
