Example of duties: Maintain grounds (weed eating, planting, watering, picking up trash and snow removal), clean restrooms, chalkboards and glass; sweep and vacuum floors, stairs and stairwells; dust; pick up trash; change light bulbs and check supplies in restrooms and classrooms; operate fork lift and lawn equipment and setup for special events.
Minimum Requirements: High School diploma plus six months of related work experience or equivalent.

Position: Education Specialist (Contract Position)

Minimum Monthly Salary: $2,735.00
Example of duties: Teach mining electricity, mine safety, mine foreman leadership, promote Kentucky Coal Academy and serve as a liaison between the college and coal industry.
Minimum Requirements: Underground mining certification, must possess a current electrical card and a high school diploma or equivalent. Mining foreman certification, surface mining certification and mine emergency technician preferred.

Pay Rate: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience
Example of Duties: Serve as primary contact for federal agencies, state agencies, coal companies, operators and KCA Office for mine rescue related issues, coordinate on-site training activities of the mine rescue teams assigned to the rescue station, train mine rescue teams for mine rescue events, maintain mine rescue station equipment and documentation, prepare and schedule mine rescue teams for ‘Mine Rescue Competitions', provide consulting/counseling services to coal mine companies and operators in mine rescue operations, promote public relations and attend training/seminars as needed and maintain mine rescue certifications as required by federal and state regulations.
Minimum Requirements: Associate degree (Mining Technology or related field) and a minimum of seven years experience in mine rescue within the past 15 years. Mine Rescue Instructor certification will substitute for associate degree. Instructors must have been employed in an underground mine for a minimum of one year within the past five years and received Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Certified Mine Instructor certification (required).

Requirements: Candidates must possess an associate degree with four years of related work experience or a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology with emphasis on motorcycle engine repair and two years of related work experience; Bachelor's degree preferred. Work experience required in area of Honda and/or Harley Davidson engines, experience in motorcycle retail preferred as well.
