Tuition Policies

Fall 2014 Tuition Policies

  • Tuition and fees are subject to change. 
  • Registration is not complete until fees are paid.

If you have registered for one of the Fall 2014 sessions, you must complete your financial aid file, make payment arrangements, or pay your account balance prior to the first day of class to avoid cancellation of your classes for non-payment.

Students who have been approved for financial aid for the Fall semester will have their tuition and fees deferred until financial aid is received. Students whose tuition is paid by a third party such as a government agency, scholarship, or employer should consult with Business Office personnel to make sure documentation is on file to defer their tuition and fees.

Payment Plan

Big Sandy Community and Technical College offers the FACTS Tuition Payment Plan to enable you to more easily afford your educational expenses. You may make payments by either automatic bank payments or by charging payments to your Visa or MasterCard. Because FACTS is not a loan program, there is no debt incurred, no credit search, and no interest or finance charges assessed by FACTS on unpaid balances. The FACTS Management Company charges a $25 per semester non-refundable fee to enroll and participate in the program. You may apply for the FACTS payment plan in person at either of the campuses listed below. You may also enroll in the FACTS payment plan online via your Student Self ServiceFor questions you may contact the online student service center for 24/7 support.

Payment Deadlines

Fall 2014 (16-Week Classes)

  • August 13 & 14: Registration & Drop/Add
  • August 15: Cancellation for Non-Payment 
  • August 18: First Day of Classes 
  • August 22: Last day to withdraw and receive 100% tuition refund or owe No money 
  • September 15: Last day to withdraw and receive 50% tuition refund.

Fall 2014 – First 8-Week Session

  • August 13 & 14: Registration & Drop/Add 
  • August 15: Cancellation for Non-Payment 
  • August 18: First Day of Classes 
  • August 21: Last day to withdraw and receive 100% tuition refund or owe No money 
  • September 2: Last day to withdraw and receive 50% tuition refund.

Fall 2014 – Second 8-Week Session

  • August 13 & 14: Registration & Drop/Add (may enroll prior to the first day of class) 
  • October 20: Cancellation for Non-Payment 
  • October 20: First Day of Classes 
  • October 23: Last day to withdraw and receive 100% tuition refund or owe No money 
  • November 3: Last day to withdraw and receive 50% tuition refund.

  • June 9: First Day of Classes
  • June 9: Last day to withdraw and receive 100% tuition refund or owe NO money
  • June 9: Cancellation for Non-Payment
  • June 16: Last day to withdraw and receive 50% tuition refund.

Summer 2014 – 8-Week Session 

  • June 5, 6: Registration & Drop/Add
  • June 9: First Day of Classes & Registration/Drop/Add
  • June 11: Cancellation for Non-Payment
  • June 12: Last day to withdraw and receive 100% tuition refund or owe NO money
  • June 23: Last day to withdraw and receive 50% tuition refund.  

 

Spring 2014 Tuition Policies

  • Tuition and fees are subject to change. 
  • Registration is not complete until fees are paid.

If you have registered for the Spring 2014 sessions you must complete your financial aid file, make payment arrangements, or pay your account balance by December 20 to avoid cancellation of your classes for non-payment. January 12 is the last day to pay online.

Students who have been approved for financial aid for the Spring 2014 semester will have their tuition and fees deferred until financial aid is received. Students whose tuition is paid by a third party such as a government agency, scholarship, or employer should consult with Business Office personnel to make sure documentation is on file to defer their tuition and fees.
