What is a Community Dental Health Coordinator?

The Community Dental Health Coordinator Program teaches students to work within a community to provide oral health education in a variety of settings. Coordinators are typically recruited from the communities similar to those they will serve. 

What are my career choices?

Community Dental Health Coordinators work in community based settings to help patients navigate the oral health care system. They may also work in private dental offices to assist patients as treatment is delivered.

  • This is a one year, 17 credit hours program.  

An Online Program

Students can study from their own location, and work from within their own communities while enrolled in this program. This program is designed to be convenient for people who are working full time.

Program Requirements

  • The applying student must be a registered dental hygienist.
