COMPASS testing is provided in the Student Service Departments at Mayo, Pikeville or Prestonsburg.

The ACT can be taken in place of the COMPASS test to gain entrance into BSCTC. To be exempt from COMPASS, students must score an 18 in the disciplines of Math, Reading and English on the ACT exam. Prospective students can find out more about taking the ACT at http://www.actstudent.org.
