Jane Pixley, an assistant professor of Psychology, first joined the faculty at Big Sandy Community and Technical College in 2009. Pixley has a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a master’s degree in Experimental Psychology from Radford University in Radford, Virginia.
Pixley was born in Connecticut but has lived in Virginia since 1992 when she returned to college as a nontraditional student to further her education. An animal lover and learning enthusiast, Pixley enjoys reaching out to the community regarding her favorite topics, which are education and animal intelligence/cognition.
